Overall, we concluded that the world of of women is television is almost always portrayed as overly feminine and this group is given typical gender roles. Society puts stereotypical labels on women characters and judges them to no end and unfortunately this could primarily be due to a male dominated media industry. In comparison to strong male leads in popular film and television, there is a lack of equally strong female leads which leads to society viewing women as "inferior" to men.
Naturally, not all shows are like this. There are examples of shows that are given people as young as children the idea that women are not to be toyed with. We are now presented with more powerful females, even if there is an influx of powerful men in the media.
